TERRIO lives off the mantra "there has to be a better way." Thus, whenever TERRIO is presented with a problem, we look for a creative and innovative solution to that problem, and then we develop a solution that best benefits you, our customer. This is why we have 11 locations throughout Bakersfield, Tehachapi, and Fresno. Instead of asking you to drive through town three times a week to one, centralized location, we decided to bring our locations to you. Convenient locations, problem solved!
When the community of Bakersfield was in dire need of a local pediatric facility that catered to the needs of children with disabilities, TERRIO built not one, but two TerrioKIDS facilities with a full-time staff of Pediatric Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists. When the parents of those children casually talked about the development of a sports league for children with disabilities so their child too could play baseball and basketball, TERRIOcreated the League of Dreams because it is our belief that "every child should have a chance to play." Needs of the community, problems solved!
In June of 2008, we surveyed our patients and found that 82% wanted the ability to view their personal therapy records online just as their doctors do using TerrioNET. Two months later, we launched myTERRIO, the nation’s first and only interactive therapy homepage that allows our patients unprecedented access to view their personal therapy goals, graphs, measurements, and progress reports as recorded by their therapists. Patients’ requests, problem solved!
Our passion for people is what drives us to provide the best possible therapy services for our patients; and our motivation for providing convenient, community requested services comes from our desire to solve problems. TERRIO History
TERRIO Therapy-Fitness was started in 1998 with a single physical therapy adult outpatient clinic located in North Bakersfield with CEO Tim Terrio as the only employee. Today, TERRIO Therapy-Fitness has expanded to 10 clinics throughout Bakersfield, 1 clinic in Tehachapi, and 1 clinic in Fresno/Clovis, and the number of employees has grown from 1 to over 140 (including 35 Full-Time Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists).
