| Therapy Aide |
| |
The role of the Therapy Aide is to assist the Therapist in providing quality care to the patients under the supervision of a licensed Therapist. The Therapy Aide is vital because they are often one of the first persons the patient sees when they come in the door. Therefore, the Aide can be the eyes and ears and act as the front line of communication for the Therapists if they are busy with another patient. It is critical to be attentive, listen, and provide feedback to both the patient and the Therapist, in order to ensure the utmost quality of care. The Aide performs patient related tasks, such as, modalities and helping patients with their exercises, along with non patient related tasks such as cleaning the work area, tables, and equipment. Any questions regarding the patients’ status, prognosis, treatment program, or progression should always be referred to the Therapist. |
