Physical Therapy Assistant |

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible assisting the Physical Therapist and providing skilled and professional therapy to patients, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. This therapy includes documentation, treatment, instruction, and training for the patient and family, as outlined or directed by the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for communicating with the primary Physical Therapist regarding patient status, progression, and changes in treatment plan. The Physical Therapist Assistant must be co-signed and meet with the primary Physical Therapist on a regular basis. The Physical Therapist Assistant is expected to communicate with patients, family members, staff, peers, doctors, and other medical and non-medical professionals in a courteous and professional manner that reflects positively upon Terrio Therapy/Fitness and the profession of Physical Therapy. Understands and complies with the California Physical Therapy Practice Act, the APTA Guide for Professional Conduct, the APTA Code of Ethics, and the APTA Standards of Practice for the Physical Therapist. |

| Experience |
| Must have completed all PTA schooling required for graduation in an accredited PTA program or have successfully passed the California challenge for licensure. |

| Education |
| Must have an AA or Bachelors, degree from an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program, or have passed the California challenge for licensure. |
