Meet Your Neighbors

A community awareness organization started by parents of children with special needs, Meet Your Neighbors is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which provides information and resources from the Kern County area.
Events, activities, and seminars which involve several local organizations including several Rotary clubs are scheduled throughout the year and are all open to the community.
Under the direction of Kern Regional Center (KRC), Meet Your Neighbors collaborates with H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection (a division of KRC) and is a great resource for families and volunteers for those with special needs.
In an effort to further expand the opportunities for children with special needs with the programs offered by TERRIO (PT, OT, Speech, League of Dreams), TERRIO feels that the potential for Meet Your Neighbors is great and with the joint efforts between several organizations can only further promote the outreach and opportunities in the local communities in which it serves.
