Pilates is a method of movement that has become one of the most popular forms of exercise over the last 10 years. The Pilates method emphasizes proper spinal and pelvic alignment and focuses on smooth, fluid movement, helping you to become more aware of your body. Through this awareness, you develop a sense of control over your body movement.

In addition to improved body awareness and control, the benefits of Pilates include development of strong core muscles (muscles of the trunk, pelvis and shoulder girdle), balancing strength and flexibility of muscles and development of a more efficient form of body movement.
